This space consists projects that explore thought as a concept, perceiving it as an entity or a persona. I intend to visualize the very nature of thought and experience, its characteristics and the subconscious aspects of human behaviour.

Fabric Diagrams
Using media ranging from assemblages of fabric and paper to direct hand embroidery on stretched canvas, bleaching the paper and fabric, each of these play a vital role in the process. The nature of thought corresponds to the structure of a fabric, such as minor thought-threads woven to develop into a ‘thought-fabric’.
Thought Network
This work has been germinated from one of the drawings, ‘Mind Diagrams‘, as they attempt to map the inner workings of the mind and subconscious thoughts. The emphasis is on exploring thought patterns and perceiving ‘thought’ as an abstract concept in a surrealist portrait.
How do thoughts occur? How do they connect with each other? What ways could they be perceived, are some of the inquiries behind this work.
Fabric and embroidery have had a deep relationship with my practice. The fluidity (of the thread) and the interwovenness (of the fabric) are the congruent characteristics pertaining to the percept of thought. Every stitch represents time spent pondering over ‘thinking’.
Germination of Idea
Metaphorical representation of an idea as a budding life from seeds.
Thought Variables
This project particularly envisions the chaotic nature of thoughts in the mind. Each ‘thought-fabric’ seeks for attention of the overthinker.
